API Gateway
Vizru Gateway is a UI-based integration layer that helps you connect and interface with external systems in the cloud or within your legacy infrastructure. You can use the Gateway to pull or push data for ETL purposes, real-time operations, and to send transactions to your backend systems. Once a successful connection is made to a data object within your backend system, the Gateway automatically converts this link into a microservice that can be reused across any workflow.
Vizru Gateway has two components:
- Legacy Gateway: typically installed on-premise on a Linux VM. Once it is installed, it generates a secret passkey which will be entered into the Cloud Gateway UI to establish a secure link to your legacy systems (vSync). This separation is critical to ensure the credentials saved to your backend systems are stored in an environment isolated from Vizru platform. This component requires necessary ports to be opened to enable secure transfer of data. Vizru Legacy Gateway can connect to file servers, databases, mainframes, shell commands, and API based applications in their own protocol.
- Cloud Gateway: uses REST or oAuth to connect to systems and services outside your legacy infrastructure. You can use it to tap into a network of applications to catalyze your processes. For example, OCR or NLP.
