Types of Applications You Can Build
Vizru categorizes Autonomous Applications into three groups based on the level of complexity: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 apps.
Level 1 typically includes simple web applications that can capture data, validate, present it on dashboards a.k.a. digital portals such as a claim intake or customer onboarding. Level 1 apps can be designed by business users without any programming or technology background.
Level 2 applications include extensive use of one or more workflows combined together to automate a process and decision-making within processes. Since it involves configuring rules and understanding the logical flow of data, it might require business users with a minimum understanding of how algorithm, programming work. If you have done macros on excel or Microsoft Access you would be able to build level 2 applications. Typically, business analysts would be able to develop level 2 applications.
Level 3 includes a combination of all of the above: Omni-channel UI, workflows, analytics, and integration deployed as a stack. An advanced Level 3 application could require a combination of business users for designing customer journeys, analysts for workflows, and IT for backend integration.
